Look down and you'll understand

Grenada's south coast is stitched with reef. From above it reads as a maze of coral heads, sandbars and lagoons in a thousand shades of blue. Where the reef sits shallow it trips the swell into breaking waves. Behind it, the water goes flat and calm.

Depths run from about a foot to forty. The wind is onshore and steady, the water is warm and pleasant year round, and you will not need a wetsuit. The season runs December to July.

Thousands of square metres, to yourself

This reef is genuinely off the beaten track. Secluded, private, and big enough that on most days you'll have thousands of square metres of it entirely to yourself. No queues for the water, no dodging other riders, no waiting your turn on a kicker.

We launch from Coral Cove in Mt. Hartman Bay and reach the reef by boat. Beginners stay in the shallow, protected water near shore. Once you're riding, the whole playground opens up.

We ride on top of the reef and enjoy its beauty, nothing more. No footprints left behind.
