There was a spot that grew a school, and an instructor looking for students. That's the short version. The longer one is that Grenada's south coast hides thousands of square metres of reef that almost nobody rides, and once you've had it to yourself it's very hard to keep quiet about.
So Reef Rider stayed small on purpose. Two students maximum, a rescue boat on the water, and lessons that run when the wind runs rather than when a timetable says so.
Sophie is the founder and owner of Reef Rider, and an IKO certified kite instructor. She teaches every course, from your first kite on the beach through to riding independently out on the reef.
Andi drives the rescue boat and teaches wingfoiling. He also runs Grenadines Yacht Adventures, so if you want to take the adventure further, he's the one to ask.
We want you to leave the water humbled and energised by the ocean. To know you pushed your limits, endured, and had real success. To feel like you've had a wicked, natural experience rather than an activity you ticked off a list.
And we want the reef left exactly as we found it. We ride on top of it and enjoy its beauty. No footprints left behind, obviously.
